American Airlines has been rigorously changing their public image and product in order to rapidly change its 2013 financials to prove to investors that they are successfully emerging from bankruptcy. In addition to the new airline branding of their planes, American recently announced the introduction of new lie-flat seats in business class for transcontinental travel and in their new 777-300ERs.
Here’s a quick video about the update.
While they certainly are going to be gearing most of their updates for the business traveler—as opposed to those in economy—it is exciting to see some of the new branding changes and products that are a HUGE shift from the old brand and products American used to seem content with.
They are also introducing wifi for all international flights. (Nice!)
