UP-IN-THE-AIR: Singapore Airlines discontinues the longest commercial flight in the world
For years Singapore Airlines has been running direct flights from Los Angeles to Singapore (approx. 8,772 miles) and New Jersey to Singapore (approx. 9,540 miles). Quartz blog has it that due to “rising fuel costs and declining demand for its premium services,” Singapore Airlines is discontinuing these flights. Now Qantas Airlines’ Dallas-to-Sydney service will become the longest regularly scheduled commercial flight in the world. Read more at the Quartz blog here.
