MONEY: New “Coin” card to become the one card to rule them all? For a limited time, pre-order one for $50 or FREE.
0The latest chatter in the technology blogs and news columns lately have been about the new Coin card, and it is one that I felt I absolutely had to feature in this blog because of the solution it provides to the age-old issue for miles enthusiasts: “How do you know which credit cards to stuff into your small wallet?”
The Coin card will provide its cardholder with the option to store up to 8 credit cards, debit cards, or rewards cards inside of it. When you want to switch cards, you can swipe to do so and Coin will internally convert its magnetic strip for card reading into the digital signature of the card you want to use. Coin syncs directly with your smartphone, where you can manage the cards on the Coin, as well as add new ones.
For those of us who have several miles and rewards earning credit cards laying around, this is an amazing potential “swiss army knife” for cards, where you could be carrying 8 of your favorite miles/points earning rewards cards inside a single card!
The best part is that a limited number of early adopters will have the option of pre-ordering a Coin at 50% off–or $50 (+ $5 shipping). What makes it even better is that it’s even possible to get Coin at an even lower price, or even for virtually free right now!
How to get it for free? Well, you need to know people who want to pre-order as well. Right now, Coin is offering customers who pre-order a Coin the ability to earn referral money for each pre-order that they refer. Customers will receive their personalized referral link after making their pre-order, and will receive $5 for each Coin pre-order they refer, up to a maximum of $50 per customer. So if you know 10 people who are willing to pre-order a Coin, your Coin will essentially be free–you’ll just have to pay for the $5 shipping cost.
Even if you don’t know 10 people, even knowing 1 or 2 will at least get you some money back off of your pre-order!
You can order a Coin from onlycoin.com here. (And yes, this post has my referral link.)
