Happy Friday, readers!
Those of you who are Apple fanatics will probably have pre-ordered your iPhone 5 by now (unless you’re planning on camping out at an Apple Store on release day–which in case, stay warm and good luck). But in case you haven’t pre-ordered your iPhone 5 and are planning on doing it in the near future (assuming it doesn’t sell out like the previous two iPhone releases), don’t forget that you can score an extra 1 point per dollar for your order at the Apple Store through your favorite online shopping mall portal—usually connected/affiliated directly with your credit card.
For example, those of you with Chase Freedom and Chase Sapphire Preferred can go through the Chase Ultimate Rewards Mall and search for the Apple Store. If you purchase through the link there (it’ll take you to the Apple store), you’ll get the extra 1 point per dollar PLUS the base point per dollar you earn from your credit card normally for all purchases.
Better yet, if you have a Chase Ink product (i.e. Chase Ink Bold card) then you can score 5x points per dollar spent on an iPhone 5 pre-order by ordering through your cellular phone service website, such as AT&T’s website!
Many major airlines also have their own version of the rewards mall for those of you who may not have a Chase card. You can still go through those shopping malls to score an extra mile per dollar you spend.
Here are a few options:
- Chase Ultimate Rewards Online Mall
- United MileagePlus Online Shopping Mall
- U.S. Airways Online Shopping Mall
- American Airlines Online Shopping Mall
There are also many more out there! You can always log into your credit card company’s online system. Most systems will have a rewards section where there will be ways to “earn rewards” or miles. Chances are they will take you to a similar online shopping mall.
It may not be much of a cash back or miles back reward on a big purchase, but if you’re planning on getting the iPhone anyway, might as well earn some extra miles!
