Awesome Deal: Free 1,000 United Miles via Bckstgr.com

Bckstgr.com, a new startup featuring mobile check-in offers and social media efforts to boost businesses, has partnered up with United Airlines to provide users free United Miles for participating in certain social media campaigns. Right now though, just for registering and syncing your Bckstgr.com account with your social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare), you can earn 1,000 United Miles!

While 1,000 United Miles by themselves may not be much, this is still a GREAT way to top off your account or to get you closer towards an international flight as U.S. to Europe or U.S. to Asia is only 60,000 miles roundtrip via economy saver.

I personally value United miles at 2 cents each, so 1,000 miles is like getting $20 for free.

To get in on this offer–which has already been widely posted on Slickdeals and various travel blogs as well–here’s what you have to do:

• Go to https://bckstgr.com (note: website might take a while to load as it seems to be slammed by high traffic due to this deal)
• Create an account. Note that you will need to provide your United MileagePlus account username & password (or PIN) combination. (I’m not sure why they need the password/PIN, but they do. If you’re worried about security, just change your United MileagePlus account password before and after you sign up for Bckstgr.com. I believe they only need it once in order to verify and sync the accounts.)
• Once you have your Bckstgr.com account created, go the “Profile & Preferences” page. If you are not already there, you can navigate there by clicking onthe My Account tab at the top right of the site.
• On the right side of the Profile & Preferences page are social media checkboxes. Click one at a time. Each time you click one, it will take you to that social media and ask you to authorize the Bckstgr.com app for your account. Complete all three social media boxes to take advantage of the full offer.
• The breakdown for miles are: 400 miles for registering Bckstgr.com, 200 miles for Facebook sync, 200 miles for Twitter sync, 200 miles for Foursquare sync for a grand total of 1,000 free United Miles!
• The miles should post within 24 hours. Many people have reported it posts almost instantly. I had mine post within 2 hours of completing the process.
