American Express is running a special promotion for its American Express gift cards where they are waiving the purchase fee if you purchase the gift card online through their official gift card website at americanexpress.com and use promo code HOLIDAYCC3. This is a great deal for anyone planning on giving any gift cards away as presents this year. But what this really means is a very inexpensive (you still have to pay for shipping) method for you to potentially “manufacture” your spend for a new sign up offer. What does it…… (click read more!)
Some more good news in time for the holiday season: American Express has added complimentary ShopRunner accounts as a new benefit for most (if not all) of their credit cardholders! ShopRunner provides free 2-day shipping services at over 80 online stores, including Newegg.com, ToysRUs.com, Drugstore.com, TigerDirect.com, AmericanEagle.com, NeimanMarcus.com, and many more. Instead of paying for two-day shipping services, your complimentary ShopRunner account will cover that. I also like that ShopRunner pays for the cost of return shipping to any of these retailers. This can be especially helpful when clothes or…… (click read more!)
For those of you who are regularly following other blogs in the miles & points blogosphere undoubtedly have seen this somewhat elusive, but still amazing, 75k Membership Rewards (MR) points sign up offer for the American Express Business Gold Reward Card floating around everywhere. The increased promotional offer–50% higher than the normal 50,000 MR points sign up offer–is the highest many miles enthusiasts have seen for this card. In fact, 75,000 MR points is roughly worth: Roughly $750 when redeeming for gift cards Or $1,000+ in value for flights or hotels…… (click read more!)
There comes a point every year where I spend some time evaluating the different miles-earning credit cards that I have, and whether or not it is worthwhile to continue the card. Almost all of the miles-earning cards I have also have their own annual fee, ranging from $65 to $175 (the highest I am paying right now; definitely not the highest out there). While many of the cards I currently have are cards that I would gladly pay the annual fee for–such as the Chase Ink Bold or the American…… (click read more!)
Hello readers! American Express, which I have been blogging a lot about lately, is the proud sponsor of Small Business Saturday–a national effort to promote and support small businesses in the United States. This year’s Small Business Saturday is next Saturday, November 24th. For American Express credit cardholders, this is an extra special day because if you enroll now with your AMEX credit card, you can get an one-time $25 statement credit for your purchase of $25 or more at any qualifying small business on Saturday, November 24, 2012! Yes–that’s…… (click read more!)
Happy Thursday, readers! I’m writing to you from the JetBlue terminal over at San Francisco International Airport right now, where my flight to Long Beach is delayed. During this morning’s commute, I discovered on Slickdeals a couple of American Express Sync awards that really caught my eye: $25 credit for your purchase of $100 or more at Costco.com and $10 credit for your purchase of $25 or more at California Pizza Kitchen. If you aren’t already familiar with American Express Sync Awards, it’s probably one of the most rewarding credit…… (click read more!)
Last Wednesday I blogged about an American Express sync deal for $5 off your $5 or more purchase at McDonalds via your American Express credit card. I love those AMEX Sync deals where you essentially can get something for free if you play your cards right. They’re spectacular and make me love AMEX even more for giving a little something back to its customers. (They also have great customer service.) This Saturday, I thought I would recap and highlight the current and active AMEX sync awards. Again, these deals are only…… (click read more!)
Free French Fries for all! Well, all who have an American Express card, anyway. American Express (AMEX) Sync Rewards have been one of the most fulfilling programs that I have experienced with a credit card company, and has made me appreciate each of my American Express cards even more. If you are not familiar with AMEX Sync Rewards, then you should go to sync.americanexpress.com. In a nutshell, American Express releases promotions periodically where you can load statement credit offers for purchases with certain merchants. Still confused how it works?
